This scholarship is for students majoring in creative and/or applied arts such as dance, art, drama, theater, or music. First preference will be given to theater/music, followed by general art.

Anna L. Cardwell Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is for re-entry students (25 years or older) who are single parents. Preference will be given to those who are actively engaged in the Native American/ Cherokee Nation community.

Requirements:

  • 3.0 GPA

Anthony K. Richards Memorial Art Scholarship



This scholarship is for students majoring in art. Preference is given to students taking ceramics,  printmaking, or iron classes.

Asian Pacific Islander Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who have completed a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service in the Pacific Islander community.  Service activities must be performed while the student is enrolled at MiraCosta College, and service hours must be documented through the Service Learning and Volunteer Center.  Students must provide a current Service Learning/Volunteer timecard and an unofficial MiraCosta College transcript. Priority given to those with financial need.

Requirements:
  • 2.0 GPA
  • Must be enrolled in 6.0 units or more




Azizi Refugee Scholarship



The Azizi Refugee Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has escaped conflict in their home country (refugee and/or asylum seeker. Priority is given to students involved in AMEMSA+ (Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim and South Asian) organization on campus.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Cumulative GPA 2.0 GPA or higher
  • Must be enrolled in 6.0 units or more

Black Lives Matter Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who are active in black and African-American advocacy such as leadership in a related student organization or active service for a community organization or group such as but not limited to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Urban League, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), or the National Action Network (NAN).

This scholarship is for students who have completed 25 hours of volunteer/service (hours must be documented through the MiraCosta Service Learning & Volunteer Center) at a nonprofit organization or K-12 school that conforms to MiraCosta Service Learning standards.

Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in at least 9 units
  • Must have completed 12 or more units at MiraCosta College with a 3.0 GPA or greater
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must have completed 25 hours of volunteer service and upload timecard

To be considered for a CCCSE Osher Scholarship, you must complete the MiraCosta College Annual Scholarship Application.
Osher Scholars can receive up to $1,600 per year ($800 fall/$800 spring) with the possibility of renewal.

Requirements:

  • Must have completed 24 or more degree-applicable units at the time of application
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Must be enrolled in 6.0 units or more
  • Must be a current California College Promise Grant (CCPG) recipient
Osher scholarship awards are renewable up to three academic years and may not exceed a cumulative award total of $4,800. Eligible students will not need to reapply for continued funding.

Renewal Requirements:

Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship



The Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee has established the following scholarship for students enrolled in the LVN or Rn programs.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be a current student in the Nursing program at MiraCosta College
